Lucknow Super Giants secured the seventh spot among the most searched teams of 2025. Despite being a relatively new franchise, established ahead of IPL 2022, LSG drew massive attention after signing Rishabh Pant for a record INR 27 crore at the mega auction and handing him the captaincy. The move generated huge
buzz, but the season proved inconsistent. Under Pant’s leadership, LSG alternated between strong performances and missed opportunities, eventually finishing seventh on the points table with six wins and eight losses from 14 matches.
Gujarat Titans at No. 6
Gujarat Titans ranked sixth on the list, buoyed by a strong turnaround in IPL 2025 after a disappointing previous season. Led by Shubman Gill, GT won nine of their 14 league matches and finished comfortably in the playoffs. Although their journey ended with a defeat to the Mumbai Indians in the Eliminator, individual brilliance stood out.
Delhi Capitals at No. 5
Delhi Capitals placed fifth among the most searched IPL teams in 2025. The Axar Patel-led side impressively began the season, winning their first four matches and emerging as early contenders. However, inconsistency in the latter half saw them manage only three wins in their final nine completed games, resulting in a fifth-place finish.
Punjab Kings at No. 4
Punjab Kings emerged as the most searched IPL franchise of 2025, ranking fourth overall among sports teams worldwide. Under Shreyas Iyer’s leadership, PBKS enjoyed a historic season, reaching the IPL final for the first time since 2014. Although they fell short against Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the summit clash, their remarkable run reignited fan interest and cemented their place among the most talked-about teams of the year.
