India is home to several unique religious sites. Be it the magnificence of the Meenakshi Temple in Madurai or the natural beauty around Kedarnath, the country is filled with sites that leave devotees spellbound.
But did you know that there is a temple in the country where the idols are believed to speak? The Raj Rajeshwari Temple in Bihar has remained famous for this unique belief.
The temple was a topic of discussion during a recent episode of the Hocus Focus podcast by Aanchal Raj Kumar. The video was part of her episode with astrologer Vasudha Sharma Kapoor in September.
Why Is Bihar’s Raj Rajeshwari Temple Famous?
The 400-year-old temple is closed every evening. The podcast revealed that it is believed the deities’ statues whisper to each other at night. No scientific explanation has been found for the sounds coming from the temple.
An experiment was conducted by scientists once, Vasudha Sharma Kapoor said. The research revealed that certain voices do echo within the temple complex. The scientists said that these voices do not originate from any human beings, she explained.
A report in Navbharat Times said scientists believed the structure of the temples allows subtle sounds to travel, meaning conversations made by people during the day could echo at night.

Social Media Reacts To Video Of Bihar Temple
Many people hailed the mysterious temple. One account said, “Absolutely right, this is the temple in Dumrao village of Buxar.”
An account claimed, “Who says that there is no god? God is present on Earth, only we can’t see it. Jai Mata Di!”
One user remarked, “This is my district, and yes, it is true that the wonderful miracle of the goddess is described here.”
Others were sceptical. “I am from Buxar. This is a fake story,” one account remarked.
Another quipped, “Heights of blind faiths are getting higher day by day… Konse vaigyanik konse team…. Jara source dikhao to (Why scientists, which team…show us the source, please).”
A comment read, “What nonsense, this is totally wrong. I am from the area and there is a temple in the Dumaraon of Buxar, but this news is wrong. Use your brain a little, and you will understand yourself what is wrong.”
The debate over the temple continues, with many placing their faith in the power of God.
