Aditya Dhar is “truly humbled” after Preity Zinta praised his recently released film, Dhurandhar. The semi-fictional spy thriller, which was released in theatres on December 5, has been garnering widespread
recognition and has emerged as one of Bollywood’s biggest blockbusters of 2025. Following the actress’ appreciation post, the director took to X to express his gratitude.
“Hi Preity ma’am, your words truly humbled me,” Aditya wrote, adding, “When a film made with conviction and heart finds its way to someone who feels cinema the way you do, it means everything.”

Further, highlighting how the Kal Ho Naa Ho actress called Dhurandhar a “love letter” to unknown people who fought for the country, the director added, “Dhurandhar belongs to the countless unknown men and women you so beautifully acknowledged — thank you for seeing them, and for seeing us. Grateful beyond words. Jai Hind.”

Preity Zinta Said Dhurandhar Is One Of Best Films She Has Watched In A Long Time
On Wednesday, December 17, Preity posted on her social media accounts that she watched Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, R. Madhavan, Arjun Rampal and Sanjay Dutt, in a theatre. She was mind-blown by the movie. Revealing that the afternoon show was packed, the actress said, “After a long time, I saw a movie in a theatre by myself. The afternoon show was Packed & WOW what a ride it was ! It’s probably one of the best films I have seen in a long time.”
Preity called Dhurandhar “Raw & real, adorned with flawless performances by @RanveerOfficial, Akshaye, @duttsanjay, @ActorMadhavan, @rampalarjun, Sara Arjun, @bolbedibol, @gauravgera, and every other actor.” She also acknowledged Aditya Dhar’s direction and loved the film’s soundtrack.
“This is not a film. It’s a love letter to every Unknown Man, Woman & Patriot, who has stood in harm’s way to protect our country,” she added. The actress stated that she did not realise that three and a half hours had passed. Preity ended her note, saying, “I’m already ready to see it again. Aditya Dhar, I have no words! When I do, I will call you and tell you how I feel & how much I loved this masterpiece. Till then, all I wanna say is Don’t miss it, folks! Go check it out. Dhurandhar stars Ranveer Singh as Hamza, an Indian spy who infiltrates the crime-ridden lanes of Pakistan’s Lyari to dismantle terror networks backed by the ISI. So far, the film has grossed over Rs 664 crore worldwide, according to Sacnilk.
