Former South Africa pacer Dale Steyn was one among many individuals who were blown away by Nepal’s performance against England in their T20 World Cup opener in Mumbai, saying that if the team ever needs his help, he will always be available for the same.
A brilliant late assault from Lokesh Bam fell short as England edged past Nepal by just four runs in their T20 World Cup game on Sunday, February 8.
Nepal came within touching distance of history, pushing one of the tournament favourites to the brink as they finished on 180/6 in reply to England’s 184/7.
“Nepal, I offer my services to you if you ever need them! Up, up and UP,” Steyn tweeted on Sunday evening.

Star batter Lokesh Bam (39* off 20 balls) kept Nepal in the hunt for a shock victory over England but, despite a heroic effort, could not get them over the line in the final over.
“Incredible from Nepal. @NepalCricket They are surely one of the best amongst emerging cricketing nations,” former India cricketer Ravichandran Ashwin tweeted.

Needing 10 off the final over, Nepal could not find the boundary as their inspired chase ended in a narrow loss to England. Star all-rounder Sam Curran nailed his yorkers, conceding just five runs to seal the victory over Nepal.
“What a fantastic game of Cricket .. The skill shown by the Nepal players was exceptional,” former England cricketer Michael Vaughan tweeted.
