Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, the Harshvardhan Rane and Sonam Bajwa starrer romantic drama film, has been receiving love from the audience, especially for its strong performances, soulful songs and captivating storyline. Despite stiff competition at the box office with horror-comedy Thamma, the film emerged as the true winner at the box office.
Released on fewer screens with low expectations and no big name, the romantic drama managed to get a good start and continues to maintain its hold even after 7 days of its release.
Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat Box Office Collection
According to sacnilk.com, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat minted Rs 3.35 crore on its first Monday, taking the film’s total 7-day collection to a whopping Rs 44.85 crore. This has been the film’s lowest
single-day total ever since its release.
The Harshvardhan Rane starrer earned Rs 9 crore on its opening day, followed by Rs 7.75 crore, Rs 6 crore, Rs 5.5 crore, Rs 6.25 crore and Rs 7 crore on Day 2, Day 3, Day 4, Day 5 and Day 6 respectively.
Given that Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat was made on a much smaller budget, its performance is being viewed positively. It offers hope for smaller films, proving that even without big stars or massive budgets, stories can connect with audiences.
What’s The Future?
With no big releases this week, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat has a chance to record a solid total by the end of its theatrical run.
In the coming days, it might face significant challenges with films like Emraan Hashmi and Yami Gautam’s courtroom drama, Haq, to be released on November 7, and Ajay Devgn-Rakul Preet Singh-R Madhavan starrer, De De Pyaar De 2, scheduled to hit the big screens on November 14.
