Bigg Boss 17’s Isha Malviya Makes Big-Screen Debut With Punjabi Film Ishqa'n De Lekhe

Reality television gave Isha Malviya her biggest spotlight, but the actor is now ready to take her next step on the big screen. The Bigg Boss 17 contestant has officially announced her entry into Punjabi cinema, marking a significant shift in her career.

Isha is set to make her big-screen debut with Ishqa’n De Lekhe, where she stars opposite popular Punjabi singer-actor Gurnam Bhullar. The announcement was made through a joint social media post by the two actors, confirming that the romantic drama will release in theatres on March 6, 2025.

Directed by Manvir Brar and written by Jassi Lohka, Ishqa’n De Lekhe is a love story. Isha and Gurnam reportedly play characters named Jasneet and Samar. Along with the release announcement, the duo shared a playful

reel on social media set to “Smart To Mai Bachpan Se Hi Hu,” captioned, “samjhi pagli?🤣😝samar and jasneet in parallel universe🥰 gurnambhullarofficial get ready for #ishqandelekhe.”

Isha Malviya hails from Hoshangabad, Madhya Pradesh, and began her journey in the performing arts at a very young age. She trained as a dancer and started dancing when she was just three years old. Over the years, she auditioned for several dance-based reality shows, including Boogie Woogie, Dance India Dance and Dance Plus.

After completing her schooling, Isha initially planned to pursue engineering. However, her career took a different turn when she was approached by Dreamiyata Production House and offered the role of Jasmine in the television show Udaariyaan, which marked her entry into acting.

Her popularity surged further with Bigg Boss 17, where she became one of the most talked-about contestants. During her time on the show, Isha made headlines for a dramatic love triangle involving her former boyfriend Abhishek Kumar and fellow contestant Samarth Jurel. She was evicted in Week 14, narrowly missing a spot in the finale.

Following her reality show stint, Isha appeared alongside Abhishek Kumar in Pati Patni Aur Panga. Alongside acting, she has continued to focus on dance and gained attention for her performance in the song Shaky. With Ishqa’n De Lekhe, Isha Malviya now steps into Punjabi cinema.
