Athiya Shetty’s New Home

Athiya Shetty, along with her husband and cricketer KL Rahul, just marked a new milestone. The couple recently purchased a new home for themselves and conducted a griha pravesh puja. A photo of the ritual, posted on Instagram, caught the couple in a loved-up moment, all joyous for the new beginnings. The picture showcased the couple offering prayers, dressed in coordinated white ensembles.

This comes months after the couple welcomed a baby girl. The duo became parents earlier this year, in March. A month after her arrival, they publicly announced her name – Evaarah. The name, with Sanskrit origins, means “gift of God.”

Suniel Shetty On His Daughter’s Guidance

While the couple enjoys parental bliss, Athiya’s father, Suniel Shetty, shared the tips Athiya has given to him in an interview with Zoom. Describing how Athiya frequently warns him to stay away from controversial questions, he said, “I keep away from controversial questions while doing promotional stuff. I am that kind of individual who, at times, wants to answer and then goes wrong. And then I have Athiya at home saying, ‘Papa, why did you speak? Just say no comment!‘”

He added, “She reminds me constantly not to say something I could get us in trouble for tomorrow. She monitors all my interviews, and frankly, that is the only person I am afraid of. The best thing for a man to have is a baby girl in his life.”

Athiya Shetty and KL Rahul started dating each other in 2019. The couple got married in January 2023 in an intimate ceremony at Suniel Shetty’s Khandala farmhouse.
