SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali is one of the biggest and most loved movies Indian cinema has ever had. Starring Prabhas in the lead role, the movie had two parts: Baahubali and Baahubali 2: The Conclusion. Now,
SS Rajamouli is planning to bring back the films to theatres in a grand version. Rajamouli plans to release the saga as Baahubali: The Epic, a combined version including both films.
As the director plans to release the grand version on October 31, netizens have noticed something unusual. The movies, which were earlier available on the streaming giant Netflix, are no longer available there. The films no longer show up in search results, and at times, the platform displays the message: “Oh no! This title currently isn’t available to watch in your country.”
This has happened as the grand saga Baahubali: The Epic is about to hit theatres on October 31. Several screenshots of fans sharing pictures of the movie not being available on the OTT platform have surfaced on social media.
With Baahubali: The Epic only weeks away, many believe this is a marketing strategy to create buzz and draw audiences to theatres. Notably, while Baahubali and Baahubali 2 aren’t available on Netflix, they are still streaming on Sony Liv. While discussing on X about the sudden removal of films from Netflix, one user wrote, “#Baahubali series removed from Netflix ahead of Epic release!! A marketing strategy?” Another user reacted, “No bro. The rights expired ig. They’ve been telling us for a month.”

Baahubali: The Epic has been “remastered and recut” into one “unforgettable experience.”
