Actress and politician Kangana Ranaut, who was last seen in Emergency, a biopic of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, in 2025, is all set to feature in a film titled Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata. The film is a cinematic tribute to the unsung heroes, and it will be helmed by director-writer Manoj Tapadia. On May 6, the actress announced the release date of her upcoming film along with the first look.
A while ago, the first poster of Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata was shared by Kangana Ranaut and the makers. The poster gives a peek into what the audience can expect from the film. It will be based on the incident at Cama and Albless Hospital during the 26/11 Mumbai attacks. The film is set to unfold on the big screen on June 12, 2026. Along with the announcement,
the makers wrote in the caption, “Extraordinary story of ordinary people! The story of the night, when humanity stood taller than fear. When responsibility became sacrifice. When unity became duty. Meanwhile, it was earlier reported that Kangana Ranaut will portray the role of a staff nurse in the film, which seeks to highlight the vital role played by such individuals who work relentlessly behind the scenes during the 26/11 Mumbai Attacks. The movie also features Marathi actor Girija Oak in a prominent role. Manoj Tapadia will make his feature film directorial debut with the Kangana Ranaut starrer.
