Choreographer-filmmaker Farah Khan is celebrating her 61st birthday today, and social media has been flooded with heartfelt messages for her on this occasion. A number of fans, friends, and colleagues
shared sweet posts to wish her on her birthday. Actor Suniel Shetty, who worked in Farah’s Main Hoon Na starring Shah Rukh Khan, also shared a lovely note praising her authentic and unfiltered personality over the years. He wrote that despite the passing of time, she has remained unchanged and true to herself.

Meanwhile, earlier today, Farah’s cousin Zoya Akhtar also shared a post to wish her, and shared a glimpse from her midnight birthday celebration with Farhan Akhtar, who is also celebrating his birthday today.
Zoya shared a major throwback photo of Farah and Farhan Akhtar. The cousins are seen happily dancing together in the childhood photo. Meanwhile, Zoya also shared a video that showed Farah and Farhan cutting their birthday cakes together at midnight. In her heartfelt note, Zoya explained the meaning behind their names, and wrote, “Farah means Happiness and Farhan means Happy No two people could have truer names Love You Capri-9 @faroutakhtar @farahkhankunder Happiest Birthday.”
Meanwhile, Huma Qureshi also shared a picture from Farah’s birthday celebration and wrote, “Happy Bday to the best Badi Didi in the whole wide world…there is only one Farah,” along with red heart emojis.
Farah Khan, who has choreographed some of the most iconic Bollywood songs, later transitioned into directing, with her debut film Main Hoon Na (2004) becoming a blockbuster. The film starred Shah Rukh Khan, Zayed Khan, Amrita Arora, Sushmita Sen, Suniel Shetty and others. This was followed by Om Shanti Om (2007), which introduced Deepika Padukone and became a cultural phenomenon.
