Ranbir Kapoor and Yash-starrer Ramayana is one of the most-awaited movies. While fans are eagerly waiting for the Nitesh Tiwari directorial, do you know when the character posters of the film be revealed?
If a recent report by Times Now is to be believed, the first look poster, revealing Ranbir and Yash as Ram and Ravana respectively, is expected to be out in March 2026.
Reportedly, the makers of Ramayana are planning to celebrate the birth of Ram on Ram Navami 2026 by revealing the character posters of the film. However, there is no official announcement regarding this as of now. For the unversed, Ram Navami will be celebrated on March 27 this year.
Ramayana: What’s The Update?
Reportedly, the makers have already wrapped up the edit of the first installment of the film. In October 2025, Pinkvilla claimed that Ramayana makers are now working on the film’s VFX and are planning to focus on it for the next 300 days. Reportedly, Namit Malhotra (Producer) and his team are planning to lock the final cut of Ramayana: Part One by Summer 2026, so that the film can hit theatres on Diwali.
Who Is Playing What In Ramayana?
While Ranbir Kapoor is playing the role of Ram, Sai Pallavi will be seen essaying the role of Sita. KGF star Yash will now be seen as Ravana in this movie. Sunny Deol, Ravie Dubey will play the roles of Hanuman and Laxma,n respectively. On the other hand, Kajal Aggarwal and Rakul Preet Singh will be seen as Mandodri and Surpanakha. Arun Govil, Kunal Kapoor, Adinath Kothare, Sheeba Chaddha and Indira Krishnan are also a part of this project.
When Will Ramayana Hit Theatres?
Nitesh Tiwari is making Ramayana into two parts. While the first part will be released worldwide on Diwali 2026, the second part will hit theatres on Diwali next year i.e. in 2027.
