Harleen Kaur scored a brilliant half-century (64 not out from 39 balls) on Thursday (January 15) to help UP Warriorz secure their first win in WPL 2026. The right-handed batter from Chandigarh, who was retired out by UP Warriorz when she was batting on 46 in their last league match against Delhi Capitals on Wednesday (January 14), looked very solid against the defending champions and helped UP Warriorz chase down the 162-run target in 18.1 overs for the loss of only three wickets.
Apart from Harleen, South African all-rounder Chloe Tryon also played a brilliant knock for the Meg Lanning-led side. She remained unbeaten on 27 runs from 11 balls.
But despite securing a big win over the Harmanpreet Kaur-led side, UP Warriorz remain at the bottom of
the points table. They have the same number of 2 points as Delhi Capitals, but due to a better Net Run Rate (NRR), the Jemimah Rodrigues-led side are fourth in the points table.
Mumbai Indians, on the other hand, remain second in the points table. They, however, have now lost two out of four matches played so far.
