Television actor and Dipika Kakar’s husband, Shoaib Ibrahim’s father has suffered yet another stroke this morning on May 23. The actor took to his Instagram to share the news that his father has been hospitalised again following another stroke and requested his fans to pray for his father’s speedy recovery.
Sharing an Instagram story, the actor also shared that the next 24 hours are crucial for his father. Taking to his social media, Shoaib Ibrahim wrote, “Need all your prayers & duas for papa. Papa again had a stroke this morning and has been admitted to the ICU. Please, please keep him in your prayers. The next 24 hrs are crucial.”
The actor’s father had previously suffered a brain stroke in 2021. Following this, Shoaib had been sharing health
updates about his father through his vlogs and social media posts. The actor also shifted his father to his own house, where he, along with his wife Dipika Kakar and caretaker Dev, took care of him. While the family never confirmed a complete recovery, Shoaib often spoke about staying positive. Previously, after the stroke, the actor had revealed that the first 72 hours were quite critical and had also shared that his father’s left side was partially paralysed due to a clot in the brain.
The Ibrahim family is currently facing quite a lot. It was recently when Dipika underwent a cyst removal surgery. Dipika had been battling stage 2 liver cancer. As part of her treatment, she underwent tumour removal surgery in June 2025, after which she revealed that she is tumour-free. The actress has been documenting her health journey on her YouTube channel.
Dipika’s strict diet and new routine
Earlier, in a vlog, Shoaib discussed Dipika’s new diet routine. Shoaib explained that her daily routine now includes waking up at 7 am, going for a morning walk, and not eating anything after 7 pm. Because of these restrictions, Dipika has to carefully manage her meals and rest.
Dipika Kakar, however, shared that she wants to continue sharing her passion for cooking and plans to post recipes on her YouTube channel. Dipika and Shoaib tied the knot in 2018 and welcomed a son in 2023.
