Gurugram, June 27 (PTI) Police are looking for a Scorpio driver who fled without paying after filling his vehicle’s tank with fuel worth ₹6,000 at the Yash Filling Station on the Pataudi-Bilaspur road, officials said Saturday. Following the incident, which was captured on CCTV cameras, the petrol pump manager filed a complaint at the Bilaspur police station, police said.
He said the accused driver, a young man, stepped out of the vehicle, behaved calmly, and then sped away the second he got the fuel.
Police said the incident occurred on Friday while refuelling operations were underway as usual.
“The moment the pump metre hit Rs 6,000 and the tank was full, the driver suddenly jumped back into his car. Before the attendant could even remove the nozzle
or ask for payment, the accused sped off. The vehicle lurched forward with such force that it dragged and snapped the delivery hose,” the manager said in his complaint.
A senior police officer said police are working to trace the black Scorpio’s registration number using CCTV footage.
He said cameras on nearby routes are also being examined, and the accused will be arrested soon. PTI COR ASD ASD
