After a noticeable absence of over four months, Irrfan Khan’s son Babil Khan has returned to Instagram. He shared a cryptic poem about ‘fighting depression’ and dealing with emotional struggles, stating

that he needed time to heal. In his post, he also spoke about the internal battles and the toll they took on his health. This comes months after a video of his emotional breakdown went viral on social media. In the video posted in May, he called out the film industry, saying ‘Bollywood is so f***ed’. He also named Ananya Panday, Arjun Kapoor, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Raghav Juyal, and others in the video. However, he later clarified that the video was misinterpreted, and he was trying to show his support to the actors he named.

Babil Khan Posts About ‘Fighting Depression’ Months After His Viral Breakdown Video

On Saturday, Babil Khan took to his Instagram account to share a series of pictures from his photoshoot, where he is seen wearing a red sweater and holding a flower between his teeth. This post on Instagram marks his first one since May 26. In the caption, he wrote a cryptic poem in which he delved deep into his emotional struggles, and battling depression, panic, insomnia and emotional vulnerability. “Didn’t mean to eavesdrop, This glass house has lean walls. I wore my heart on my sleeves, now I have blood soaked t-shirts I needed time to heal, My demons left me with deep cuts. insomnia and panic had me making wired confessions, I was crying out for help, I couldn’t stifle my expression, the toll was heavy on my health, my soul was tired of repression, “you were fighting with your girl while I was fighting my depression…wait..” he wrote.

Babil Khan’s Comeback Post Gets Warm Response From Vijay Varma, Gulshan Devaiah

Soon after he shared the post, several actors welcomed him back, and sent encouraging messages. Vijay Varma wrote, “Babil we got your back,” along with a red heart emoji, while Gulshan Devaiah commented, “Look who’s here.” Babil’s fans were also delighted to have him back on the social media platform. “Th Caption Say’s it all! More Power To You!!” red one comment, while another netizen wrote, “missed seeing you here.”

On October 7, Babil also made his first appearance since the viral breakdown video. He was spotted at the Mumbai airport by the paparazzi. Babil’s airport sighting quickly made its way online, with fans calling it “good to see him back” and “a calm comeback.” Many also noticed how grounded and composed he looked, a shift from his earlier emotional posts.

About Babil’s Viral Breakdown Video

On May 4, a video of Babil’s emotional breakdown went viral on Reddit. He was seen criticizing Bollywood, and also named Ananya Panday, Siddhant Chaturvedi, Raghav Juyal, Adarsh Gourav, Arjun Kapoor among others. After the video went viral, Babil deactivated his Instagram account. Hours later, he made a comeback and clarified that the video was extremely misinterpreted, and that he was only trying to show his support to the actors he named in the video. “I was trying to show support to Ananya Panday, Shanaya Kapoor, Gourav Adarsh, Arjun Kapoor, Raghav Juyal, Arijit Singh,” he wrote in his statement.

He also parted ways with director Sai Rajesh, with whom he was working on a project. In his statement, Babil wrote that he will be taking some time off, and mentioned that  “unforeseen circumstances” led to their decision to go their separate ways.
