Their dating rumours further fuelled after a recent trip to Santa Barbara where the singer and the politician were seen kissing on a yacht. A source has now revealed that Justin Trudeau ‘had been pursuing her since’.

According to PEOPLE, the rumoured couple were initially hanging out together and not looking to date. Katy, who is a mother of one, was not prepared to ‘even think of dating’ back then. “When she first hung out with Justin, she wasn’t looking to date, but they stayed in touch. They have many shared interests and a lot of talk about, but Katy was navigating too many things to even think about dating then,” the source said.

The insider talked about a time when Katy was going through a rough patch with Orlando Bloom as a couple. It was when their relationship ended and was announced publicly.

Now, the latest updates suggest that Trudeau has expressed his long desire to be with the pop icon. The source talked about his efforts to make things work with Katy. “He even flew to California to see her during a tour break. They have an easy connection. She finds him attractive. He’s been very respectful,” the insider added.

On Monday, October 13, the Firework singer shared a series of glamorous photos of herself in an all-black jumpsuit, which she paired with a silver necklace, dainty earrings and black heels. One slide also included a ‘Service Information’. “Scorpio Season is coming… but first, The Lifetimes Tour in LONDON NIGHT 1! BEYOND excited,” she wrote in the caption.
