Bigg Boss 20 is premiering in just 2 days, and while expectations are high, Bhagirath Bhatt has confirmed that he is not doing the Salman Khan-hosted show. Bhagirath’s name was among the first ones when the BB 20 rumoured contestant list surfaced, but now, just days before the show’s premiere, the sitarist has taken to his Instagram and confirmed that he isn’t doing the show.
Taking to his Instagram, Bhatt wrote, “Important: For the past few days, I’ve been getting a lot of questions on Instagram and social media about whether I’m entering Bigg Boss 20 or not. Thank you so much for all your love and curiosity. But I want to make it clear – ‘I am NOT going to Bigg Boss 20’. Honestly, I don’t think I’m made for a show like that. I’m not someone
who can shout or create unnecessary noise. I’m a ‘believer in calm music’, and peaceful music has always been my inspiration.”
“Once again, thank you all for your endless love and blessings. Bhagirath Bhatt Jai Siya Ram Jai Hind,” Bhatt continued.
Who Is Bhagirath Bhatt? Early Life and Musical Training
Bhagirath Bhatt is an Indian sitarist and composer known for blending classical Indian music with contemporary global influences. Born in 1991 in Jamnagar, Gujarat, he completed his schooling at Shree Satya Sai Vidyalaya before pursuing higher studies in Baroda.
He began learning the sitar at just six years old, drawing early inspiration from his father, Pankaj Kumar Dineshchandra Bhatt, a singer and tabla player. Over the years, he trained under eminent maestros including Ustad Abdul Halim Jaffer Khan, Ustad Shahid Parvez, Ustad Asad Khan and Shri Chetan Shastri.
Bhagirath rose to prominence with his contribution to the soundtrack of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Padmaavat. A dedicated sitar sadhak and versatile composer, he performs across genres such as classical, folk, fusion and ghazal.
