Five IPS officers transferred in TN

Chennai, Jul 22 (PTI) The Tamil Nadu government on Wednesday transferred five IPS officers, effecting a swap between the Superintendents of Police (SPs) of Sivaganga and Tuticorin districts.

According to a Home Department release, Sivagangai SP R Shiva Prasad has been transferred and posted as SP, Tuticorin. Abhishek Gupta, currently serving as Tuticorin SP, will replace Prasad in Sivaganga.

M Vijayalakshmi, Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG), Armed Police, Tiruchirappalli, has been posted as DIG, Home Guards, Chennai. The government ordered the downgrading of the vacant post of Additional Director General of Police/Director of Civil Defence & Addl Commandant General, Home Guards, Chennai, to facilitate this posting. that the cadre post of DIG, Armed Police, Chennai, has been revived.

In another transfer, D Shanmuga Priya, SP, Central Zone, Crime Branch CID, Chennai, has been posted as SP, Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, Western Range, Chennai, against an existing vacancy.

P R Meera, Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP), Rameshwaram Sub Division in Ramanathapuram district, has been transferred as ASP, Office Automation and Computerisation, at the DGP/HoPF office in Chennai. PTI JR KH
