A24 has once again sent fans into a frenzy by unveiling a striking new poster for The Drama, featuring Zendaya and Robert Pattinson posed as bride and groom. After teasing audiences earlier with an engagement-themed visual, the makers have now upped the intrigue with what looks like a formal wedding invitation — and the internet cannot get enough.
Shared by A24 on X (formerly Twitter), the post read, “You are cordially invited to THE DRAMA. Official trailer tomorrow.” The announcement immediately sparked excitement, not just for the impending trailer but also for the intense chemistry radiating from the poster.
In one of the newly revealed visuals, Zendaya and Pattinson stand together as a married couple, dressed in wedding attire that feels both
intimate and ominous — perfectly in line with the film’s unsettling undertones.
Zendaya and Robert Pattinson as bride and groom
The Drama centres on Emma (Zendaya), a woman with a B.A. in English who works at Mission Books, and Charlie (Robert Pattinson), a Ph.D. in Art History who serves as the Director of the Cambridge Art Museum. The two are engaged and seemingly settled — until their relationship takes an unexpected and shocking turn just days before their wedding.
The wedding poster follows an earlier reveal that showed the couple displaying their engagement rings, a visual that surfaced shortly before the Sundance Film Festival announced its 2025 lineup. At the time, speculation ran high that the film might have a surprise premiere at the festival, though that ultimately did not materialise.
Still, the steady drip of promotional material has only amplified curiosity around the project.
Fans hail their ‘rare, dangerous chemistry’
Soon after the wedding-themed posters dropped, fans flooded social media with reactions. Many praised Zendaya and Pattinson’s pairing, with one fan describing their connection as “rare and dangerous chemistry.” Others expressed growing excitement for the film’s April 3, 2026 theatrical release, calling the visuals “mesmerising” and “unsettling in the best way.”
Directed by Kristoffer Borgli, The Drama is already being touted as the filmmaker’s most ambitious project yet. Borgli, who earned acclaim for Sick of Myself and Dream Scenario, reportedly places Pattinson in one of his most intense roles to date — portraying an ordinary British man caught in an extraordinary and deliberately mysterious situation. Zendaya’s performance, on the other hand, is said to ground the film emotionally, balancing Pattinson’s intensity with restraint and nuance.
The film has reportedly been screened in an almost-finished form for select industry insiders, with early reactions said to be overwhelmingly positive.
Both stars have a packed slate ahead. Zendaya will return as Rue in Euphoria Season 3 and is currently filming Spider-Man: Brand New Day. Pattinson, meanwhile, has The Odyssey, Dune: Messiah, and a return as Batman slated for the coming years — making The Drama one of the most anticipated collaborations of 2026.
