CPI(M) leader Shanmugam visits CPI chief D Raja at hospital in Chennai

Chennai,

Sept 11 (PTI) Senior CPI(M) leader P Shanmugam on Friday called on CPI General Secretary D Raja, who is currently undergoing treatment at the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital here.

According to a social media update by Shanmugam, he visited the hospital to enquire about the veteran CPI leader’s health.

Shanmugam was accompanied by a delegation of Left leaders during the visit.

The delegation included CPI(M) State Secretariat member N Pandi, State Committee member I Arumuganainar, and CPI State Secretariat member G R Ravindranath, among other party functionaries.

Details regarding the nature of Raja’s illness were not immediately known. PTI JR JR ROH
