Iceland Cricket continued its trend of keeping online banter going, saying that a late aggressive cameo by England all-rounder Will Jacks against Nepal in their opening game of the T20 World Cup could only be compared to the aggression that Harry Brook showed during a recent nightclub incident.
Brook was fined £30,000 (Rs 36 lakh) and issued a final warning by the England and Wales Cricket Board after it emerged that he had been punched by a nightclub bouncer.
It later came to light that his claim of being alone at the time was false, with Jacob Bethell and Josh Tongue also present during the incident.
“Superb last over hitting by Will Jacks. We haven’t seen late English aggression like that since Harry Brook was last in a nightclub,” Iceland Cricket
tweeted on Sunday afternoon.
Superb last over hitting by Will Jacks. We’ve not seen late English aggression like that since Harry Brook was last in a nightclub.
Still, great spin bowling by Nepal to keep England to only 184. They still have a chance but it will not be easy on a sharply turning track.

Brook, England’s white-ball skipper, was involved in the altercation on the night before the third ODI in Wellington on Saturday, November 1, a game England went on to lose.
Meanwhile, Bethell (55) and Brook (53) struck attacking fifties to propel England to a formidable 184/7 in their T20 World Cup Group C opener against Nepal in Mumbai.
The young left-hander Bethell made a strong impression on his T20 World Cup debut, delighting a partisan crowd with a rapid 35-ball half-century that included four sixes and as many fours, while Brook returned to the runs as he looked to shift the narrative around his form.
Brook fell after a vital 32-ball knock featuring four sixes and three fours, adding 71 for the fourth wicket with Bethell as Nepal’s bowlers mounted a strong challenge.
