Students appearing for a B.Ed. Psychology practical exam in Karnataka were put through an unusual test that aimed to check how well they could stay focused even in the middle of loud distractions.
Several clips from the exercise are now being widely shared, with many people debating whether such a method is useful or unfair.
Students Write Amid Loud Distractions
According to posts shared on X, the incident took place in Gadag, Karnataka, although the exact date of the exercise is not clear. The practical exam was conducted for B.Ed. Psychology students, and instead of a quiet classroom, they were made to write their papers while noise and chaos were deliberately created around them.
The idea behind the exercise was to test concentration and see
how students handled stressful situations. In the clips, rows of students can be seen writing their answers while a group of people around them create disturbances. Some are shouting, screaming and hooting, while others bang sticks on desks and hit steel plates to make as much noise as possible.
Despite the commotion, the students continue writing their papers. The unusual setup has sparked discussions online, with many wondering whether such methods are part of psychology training or if they go too far.
