celebrating the New Year abroad in Dubai The news shook the couple and their young son Ayaan, prompting them to cut short their holiday and return home to be with family.
On Tuesday, Arjun posted a series of heartfelt photos with Neha, her father, and their son from happier moments on Instagram, offering fans a glimpse of the love they shared. He shared the photos with a touching tribute, writing, “Om Shanti Papa !! Aap ki batein aur seekh hamesha hamare saath Rahengi ..!! Neha aur Ayaan ka poora Dhyaan rakhoonga chinta mat karna .. !! Love u always !! Sri Rakesh Chandra Swami !! 1956 – 2026 . !! #omshanti”
Rakesh Chandra Swami was 73 years old when he died. Reports say he suddenly suffered a stroke and was rushed to hospital, where he was put on a ventilator before passing away. The abrupt loss left the family in shock, especially as Arjun and Neha had visited him just before leaving for their holiday. According to a report in Hindustan Times, a family member shared details of the sudden incident, saying, “He was fit and fine, set to have dinner when suddenly he suffered a stroke and was rushed to Bellevue Hospital, where he was on a ventilator. The entire family is in shock, as Neha and Arjun had met the family before flying off. It was a sudden shock, and we are all still grappling with the situation.” Swami is survived by his son Nishank and daughter Neha, who is married to Arjun Bijlani.
A prayer meet was held on January 5 in Mumbai, with close family and friends gathering to pay their respects. Several television personalities, including Mouni Roy, Ankita Lokhande, and Vicky Jain, were among those who offered condolences and stood by the family at the event.
Professionally, Arjun Bijlani has had a strong run recently. In 2025, he participated in the reality competition Rise and Fall and emerged as the winner, earning praise for his strategic play and calm screen presence.
