Remember when Lust Stories first arrived in 2018 and suddenly everyone was talking about sex, desire and relationships a little more openly? There was Kiara Advani’s now-iconic vibrator scene, Radhika Apte’s complicated professor navigating desire and boundaries, Bhumi Pednekar quietly watching the man she loved move on with someone else, and Manisha Koirala’s story about a woman caught between marriage and desire.
Five years later, Lust Stories 2 gave us Neena Gupta’s wonderfully candid dadi asking the questions everyone else was too embarrassed to ask, Tamannaah Bhatia and Vijay Varma’s messy reunion, and much more. Now, Lust Stories 3 is ready to carry the legacy forward. It will release on Netflix on September 18, 2026.
The new season will
see ace filmmakers Vikramaditya Motwane, Kiran Rao, Shakun Batra and Vishal Bhardwaj telling a different story about intimacy and relationships.
The anthology brings together an impressive ensemble cast, with Radhika Apte, Konkona Sen Sharma, Aditi Rao Hydari, Radhika Madan, Sana Thampi, Vijay Varma, Abhishek Banerjee, Siddharth, Ali Fazal and Gurfateh Pirzada. The film is backed by RSVP and Flying Unicorn Entertainment.
Ruchikaa Kapoor Sheikh, Director, Original Films, Netflix India, spoke about the franchise’s ability to reinvent itself while bringing together filmmakers with distinct storytelling styles.
