Hyderabad, Apr 12 (PTI) Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and Union Minister G Kishan Reddy on Sunday condoled the demise of legendary singer Asha Bhosle.
Bhosle died at the age of 92 at a private hospital in Mumbai on Sunday following multiple organ failure.
Expressing deep anguish over the passing of Bhosle, Revanth Reddy said her demise is a significant loss to the nation’s cultural and artistic fraternity.
“The Chief Minister conveyed his sincere sympathies to the bereaved family members, admirers and the global music community, and prayed for eternal peace to the departed soul,” the Telangana CMO said in a post on ‘X’.
Revanth Reddy said Bhosle’s extraordinary contribution to Indian music, marked by unmatched versatility and excellence
across decades and languages, leaves behind an enduring legacy that will continue to inspire generations.
Union Minister for Coal and Mines G Kishan Reddy in a post on ‘X’ said: “Deeply saddened by the passing of Smt. Asha Bhosle ji, one of India’s most iconic and versatile voices.” Kishan Reddy further said her extraordinary contribution to Indian music spans decades, transcending generations and linguistic boundaries.
Through her evergreen songs, she brought joy, emotion, and cultural richness to millions across the nation and the world, he said.
