Vishnu Vishal Upset With Producers For Lack Of Support Despite His Film’s Success

Actor Vishnu Vishal has expressed disappointment with south Indian actors and producers for not extending enough support to him.

While promoting his new film Aaryan, Vishnu shared the fact that he continues

to struggle and is undervalued in the industry.

In an interview with Hindustan Times, Vishnu expressed dissatisfaction with the lack of recognition in the industry, claiming he frequently had to struggle for years to have any production greenlit.
He said, “For Gatta Kusthi, we had six producers turn us down at the last minute. For Velainu Vandhutta Vellaikaaran, four producers changed, and for FIR: Faizal Ibrahim Raiz, we had three producers who backed out. Nine films that were committed to me post the success of Ratsasan were dropped.”

Vishnu Vishal On Turning Producer

The actor stated that he had no choice but to become a producer. He added that despite producing hits such as Gatta Kusthi and FIR, he had to wait three years for his next picture. He claimed that once he took over production, it only took him a year to release this film and return to the screen. Vishnu said, “I have noticed that when my films release and become a success, none of the actors I admire have called me even once to wish me in person.”

Vishnu Vishal’s Work Front

Vishnu made his acting debut in 2009 with Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu and has since produced several films of his own. This year, he produced the romantic comedy Oho Enthan Baby for Vishnu Vishal Studioz. Up next, Vishnu produced and stars in Aaryan, directed by debutant Praveen K. It will open in theatres on October 31. He also has Irandu Vaanam, Mohandas, and Gatta Kushti 2 scheduled.

Vishnu Vishal plays a police officer in Aaryan, which also stars Selvaraghavan, Shraddha Srinath, and Maanasa Choudhary. The supporting cast includes Sai Ronak, Tarak Ponnappa, Mala Parvathi, Avinash, and Abishek Joseph George.
