Alia Bhatt has been creating waves with her fashion choices, whether it is at a movie premiere or at the Cannes Film Festival. The actor has come into her own in the Bollywood fashion landscape, and with each of her public appearances, she has been proving that she is someone who can carry a traditional Indian ensemble, be it a saree or a simple salwar kameez, and a Western outfit.
So, as the actor begins her press tour for her new spy action film, she continues to stun in each fit she wears.
In a video shared on Instagram, actor Alia Bhatt, with her Alpha co-star Sharvari, can be seen batting for the Indian cricket team ahead of the final T20I series between the India Women’s and
England Women’s teams. The two actors called themselves the cricketer Harmanpreet Kaur-led squad’s biggest supporters, calling them “Team India’s 15 Alpha”.
In the video, Alia Bhatt wore the green oversized Balmain Gabardine Anthem jacket that can be belted at the waist, and that has a price tag of $2,260. This structured jacket features a massive gold belt buckle in front and centre and an exaggerated collar and two pockets. The shoulder pads also lean into the modern corporate-core businesswoman vibe. The actor paired this oversized jacket with sleek black capri trousers from Zara that cost ₹2,550. To complete the look, she wore a pair of simple black pumps by the brand Aquazzura, which are priced at ₹74,450.
For her glam, she kept things minimal and sleek. Her shoulder-length hair was straightened, while she added a dusting of blush and a nude-pink lip. For jewellery, she wore a few gold rings only.
Styled by Priyanka Kapadia, Alia Bhatt embraced the corporate core look. Capri pants, a quintessential early 2000s staple, are making a huge comeback with international celebrities like models Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner, along with Hailey Bieber and Jennifer Lopez rocking them on the streets.
In the video, Alia Bhatt is asked a simple question: who inspires her the most? The actor instantly replies, “The Indian cricket team”. She goes on to praise the players and exclaims, “They all are too good.”
However, the moment took an interesting turn when the interviewer sought to clarify, asking, “You mean the women’s cricket team?” Alia Bhatt was quick to correct the distinction, replying, “That’s what I said – the Indian cricket team.”
