Gautam Adani-led Adani Group on Tuesday announced a milestone partnership with Brazil-based aircraft manufacturer Embraer to establish a regional transport aircraft venture in India, marking a major push in the country’s aviation manufacturing ambitions.
The announcement was made by Jeet Adani, Director at Adani Airport Holdings Limited, who said the collaboration would also help build a comprehensive aviation ecosystem in the country.
‘Redefining India’s aviation future’
Speaking to the media, Jeet Adani said Adani Defence has entered into a landmark partnership with Embraer, one of the world’s leading aircraft manufacturers.
“It is with immense pride that I announce that Adani Defence is today entering into a landmark partnership with Embraer,”
he said.
According to Jeet Adani, the partnership will go beyond manufacturing aircraft. “Together, we will establish a regional aircraft manufacturing facility in India and a one-of-its-kind aviation ecosystem. This project will redefine the future of aviation in our country,” he added.
The deal is expected to strengthen India’s position in aerospace manufacturing and support the government’s push for defence and aviation indigenisation.
Adani Enterprises shares surge
Following the announcement, shares of Adani Enterprises rallied sharply. The stock surged as much as 6 percent during intraday trade on Tuesday.
At around 1:00 PM, Adani Enterprises shares were trading at Rs 1,954.70 apiece, up nearly 5 percent from the previous close.
Defence arm increases stake in flight simulation firm
In a separate regulatory update, the company said Adani Defence Systems and Technologies Limited (ADSTL), a wholly owned subsidiary, along with Horizon Aero Solutions Limited (HASL), has completed the acquisition of additional stake in Flight Simulation Technique Centre Pvt. Ltd (FSTC).
Post the transaction, the effective shareholding in FSTC stands at 72.8 percent. The company said it received information about the completion of the acquisition on January 22, 2026, at 4:34 PM.
