Ahan Shetty is set to make his big-screen comeback with Border 2, and the film is already creating a strong buzz. After his debut in Tadap back in 2021, audiences are eager to see him return in this much-talked-about
project after almost 5 years.
In an interview with IANS, Ahan spoke about how things have changed over the last 25 years, sharing a perspective that feels fresh, honest, and insightful.
What Has Changed In Cinema In The First Quarter Of The 21st Century?
Reflecting on how cinema has evolved, Ahan Shetty said the biggest change he has noticed is that films have become more honest. While earlier movies often focused on stars and spectacle, today even big-budget films with a star-studded cast aim to connect through ’emotion’ and ‘relatability’.
He also said technology has played a major role in expanding the scale and reach of films. What surprised him most, however, is the audience, which has become far more engaged now. According to Ahan, viewers are now more engaged, analysing every detail, questioning creative choices, and investing themselves deeply in the storytelling. He said this shift has raised the bar for actors, who can no longer rely on ‘surface-level impact’ and must bring genuine depth and meaning to their performances.
Ahan Is ‘Ready For What Lies Ahead’
Sharing his experience of working on Border 2 and expressing his gratitude for the opportunity, Ahan Shetty posted about it on Instagram a few days ago. He described the period since Tadap as a long journey marked by patience, growth, and self-belief. He added that being entrusted with a film as powerful as Border 2 is a true honour for him. He concluded the post by saying he feels ‘grateful’, ‘proud’, and ‘ready for what lies ahead’.
