The Ayush Mhatre-led India U19 men’s cricket team will face Thomas Rew’s England U19 men’s cricket team in the final of the ICC Men’s U19 World Cup 2026 on Friday (February 6). The summit clash between the two unbeaten teams of the tournament is scheduled to take place at Harare Sports Club. India stand on the brink of their sixth ICC U19 World Cup trophy, whereas England will aim to end their 28-year-long wait for an U19 World Cup trophy.
India defeated Afghanistan in the semi-final on Wednesday, February 4, to seal their berth in the summit clash. The young guns chased down an imposing target of 311 on the back of a superlative hundred by talented right-hander Aaron George (115). Also shining on the big day was the famed duo of Vaibhav Suryavanshi
(68) and skipper Mhatre (62).
England made it through to the title clash after emerging triumphant over the Australians in their semi-final in Bulawayo. A terrific hundred from captain Thomas Rew (110) and strong spells by Sebastian Morgan (2/33) and James Minto (2/30) helped the England U19s register a victory by 20 runs to set up the Indian encounter.
