It was a scene no one expected to witness on an ordinary day in Gujarat’s Palanpur. There was a furious man, standing outside a scooter showroom, setting his vehicle on fire. Within minutes, the entire
incident was captured on camera and before anyone could process what had happened, the video went viral across social media, leaving viewers shocked and intrigued.
The man, visibly frustrated, claimed that his Ola scooter had become more of a problem than a ride. According to him, the steering and tyre connection suddenly broke while he was on the road with his five-year-old son, as reported by India Today. Luckily, they were moving at a slow speed, narrowly escaping what could have been a serious accident.

Man’s Frustration With Service Centre
He said he had contacted the company several times, filed complaints and even visited the service centre, but all he got in return was silence and negligence.
In the viral video, he is seen standing right outside the showroom, pouring kerosene over his scooter. Within seconds, flames engulf the vehicle and the electric blue scooter turns into a pile of burning metal and the smoke rises. A large crowd gathered near the vehicle and started recording the incident on camera.
The internet, as expected, had a lot of things to say. One comment read, “Ola is such a disgusting and atrocious company when it comes to customer service.” Another user wrote, “All vehicle and insurance companies behave the same way.” Someone else pointed out that this isn’t an isolated case, claiming many Ola owners have faced similar issues. “He’s not the only one; others have set theirs on fire or just dumped them at the service centre,” he wrote.
Similar Incident In Karnataka
Earlier, a 26-year-old man set fire to an Ola Electric showroom in Kalaburagi, North Karnataka, following frustrations over unresolved issues. The man faced repeated problems after he purchased the scooter, but the showroom staff failed to address them despite his multiple visits.
According to police, the man bought petrol and ignited the showroom in anger after he felt that the staff had neglected him. Authorities suspected the fire was caused by a short circuit, but an investigation later revealed that it was a deliberate act.
