Hyderabad, Jun 4 (PTI) Telangana Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy on Thursday said the state government is introducing comprehensive reforms in the revenue department to ensure transparent services to the people.
Reddy, who inspected the construction works of integrated sub-registrar office at Gachibowli here, said the government has revised land values without imposing any burden on the people. The revised land values would come into effect in the state from June 5.
Speaking to reporters, he said there is no no plan to increase the registration charges.
The government has fixed minimum value of one acre of agricultural land in rural areas and one acre in municipal corporations is fixed at Rs 2.75 lakhs and Rs five lakh respectively.
The minimum value of land per acre in Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) limits and the city’s Outer Ring Road (ORR) is fixed at Rs 10 lakh and Rs 15 lakhs respectively, he noted.
The government is ready to review the revised land values if any inaccuracies come to the fore, he said, adding that citizens can contact the department’s toll free number for any clarifications and complaints on the revised land values.
He said the previous BRS government had increased registration charges from six to 7.5 per cent which imposed a heavy burden on the people. PTI SJR SJR ROH
