Bangladesh A secured their berth in the final of the Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025 with their win over India A in dramatic fashion in Qatar on Friday.

India to 194 before closing out the game in the Super Over as Ripon Mondol’s masterclass rendered India scoreless before the Bangla Tigers closed out the chase thanks to a wide delivery from Suyash Sharma.

Bangladesh set India a target of 195 runs to move into the final of the event in Qatar as Habibur Rahman Sohan starred with a half-century up the order, before a grand stand finish from Mahidul Islam Ankon, Yasir Ali as they added over fifty runs in the final three overs of the innings to ramp up their total to 194/6 in 20 overs.
India were afforded a quick start by Vaibhav Suryavanshi who added 38 off 15 before falling to Abdul Gaffar Saqlain. Naman Dhir fell cheaply for 7 to Abu Hider, while Priyansh Arya added 44 off 23 to Rakibul Hasan.
Jitesh Sharma added 33 runs before Hider removed the skipper, while Ramandhir Singh while scalped for 17 by Ripon Mondal, who turned the game on its head.
Rakibul Hasan removed Ashutosh Sharma for 13 while Nehal Wadhera remained unbeaten on 32 after a blunder on the final ball of the game by Bangladesh skipper Akbar Ali, who failed to hit the stumps from close range.
India’s uper over with the bat lasted just a couple of deliveries as Jitesh and Ashutosh were dismissed by Mondal without getting off tha mark as the Bangla Tigers required just a single run to win. Suyash Sharma removed Yasir Ali for a duck before the spinner’s wide delivery gave the Bangaldesh A side a famous win.
