Jackie Shroff has reacted to his son Tiger Shroff’s recent box office setbacks. The veteran actor said that success and failure are both part of an actor’s journey. He opened up about the unpredictable nature of the entertainment industry and admitted that an actor can only focus on hard work while leaving the results to fate.
In a conversation with Mid-day, Jackie Shroff shared his thoughts on son Tiger Shroff’s cinematic journey. He said, “Life is such that these things are not in our hands. You have to work hard. Sometimes you will get results, and other times you won’t. We are actors, we have to go through everything. Tiger knows it. He says, ‘I will work sincerely. The rest is up to the audience.’ That [approach] is fantastic. He will be
okay.”
Tiger Shroff’s work front
Tiger Shroff’s few films, including Heropanti 2 (2022), Ganapath (2023), Bade Miyan Chote Miyan (2024) and Baaghi 4 (2025), failed at the box office. The last hit delivered by the actor was 2020’s Baaghi 3.
He is currently busy with the shoot of Lag Jaa Gale with Janhvi Kapoor and Lakshya. As per Mid-Day, the update has it that the shoot of Lag Jaa Gale has been extended till October due to Lakshya’s look-change requirement. The source has shared with the portal that Lakshya has a soft look in Chand Mera Dil, and for Lag Jaa Gale, he had to take on a rugged avatar, for which he will have to grow his hair, there is a delay in the shoot.
The film brings Lakshya and Tiger Shroff together in an action-heavy narrative built around revenge. Earlier, the portal had shared that the clash between their characters will form a major attraction, with high-energy sequences planned through the schedule. The story also builds drama around Janhvi Kapoor’s character, creating a triangle at the centre of the plot.
Originally, Lag Jaa Gale was announced as a directorial venture for Karan Johar during his 50th birthday celebrations in 2022. Johar stepped away from directing the film later and is now attached as producer.

The actor is all geared up for the release of his upcoming movie The Great Grand Superhero on 29th May. The movie’s teaser that released recently hinted at a world where a child’s imagination takes the grandfather-grandson relationship to another level with a unique thrill of aliens!
