Ranveer Singh is basking in the success of the action drama Dhurandhar. The film has been creating records at the box office. Recently, singer Vaibhav Gupta opened up about his interaction with him. Recalling the moment, Vaibhav described the experience as nothing short of a dream come true.
In an exclusive conversation with Mid-day, the singer showered praises on Ranveer Singh. He said, “He came on stage, hugged me, and gave me a lot of love. I would say that Ranveer is just like how he is on screen. He is an amazing person in real life as well. He is an amazing artist and a very good human being. He gives a lot of love to everyone. He knows everyone by name. I even went to his vanity and clicked a photo with him. All those things felt like a dream
come true.”
Talking about Ranveer’s stardom post Dhurandhar, Vaibhav stated, “I feel that in Dhurandhar, he has showcased all his talents—something every artist strives to do. People recognise good work, and Ranveer sir has truly delivered that. I always believe the most important thing is to be a good person, and he is exactly that. He has acted brilliantly and has become the king of people’s hearts. Whether it’s his acting, personality, or fashion, everything about him is top-notch. His energy, both on-screen and off-screen, is incredible.”
Dhurandhar 2 OTT Deal:
The OTT rights of Dhurandhar: The Revenge have been acquired by JioHotstar. The deal is said to be worth around Rs 150 crore, making it one of the biggest digital deals for a Hindi film. Unlike the earlier instalment, which had a Netflix deal, the sequel will premiere on a different platform, marking a shift in its digital release strategy. Reports suggest that the film could begin streaming in late May or early June. Typically, films arrive on OTT within two to three months of their theatrical release. However, in this case, the makers are expected to hold back the digital release slightly due to the film’s strong box office performance. The film released in theatres on March 19, 2026, and continues to draw audiences.
Dhurandhar 2 plot
The story of Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge follows Jaskirat Singh Rangi, played by Ranveer Singh, as he evolves into the fearsome Hamza Ali Mazari. After defeating mobster Rehman Dakait in the first film, Jaskirat has become firmly embedded in Karachi’s underworld, earning the nickname “Sher-e-Baloch.” Sara Arjun portrays Yalina, Hamza’s wife. The sequel goes deeper into his past, telling how Ajay Sanyal, played by R. Madhavan, recruited him for the risky assignment. The plot focuses on his attempt to dismantle criminal networks and the financial backbone of terrorist operations, resulting in a psychological war with the mastermind.
