A duplex apartment in Andheri (West) has been leased in a notable transaction involving actor Akshay Kumar and commercial airline commander Anny Divya. The property has been rented out at a monthly rate of ₹1.44 lakh, according to property registration data reviewed by CRE Matrix.
The agreement pertains to a duplex unit located on the 11th and 12th floors of the Sky Pan building in the Oberoi Complex on New Link Road. The home also includes an attached terrace space. As per records, the lease was officially registered on April 7, 2026.
Anny Divya, who is widely known for her achievements in aviation, originally hails from Vijayawada in Andhra Pradesh. She rose to prominence after becoming one of the youngest commanders to operate a Boeing 777,
one of the world’s largest twin-engine aircraft. Her career began early—she trained at the Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi in Raebareli at 17 and joined Air India at just 19.
The lease arrangement is structured for a 24-month period, with both rent and occupancy starting from March 1. Notably, the agreement does not include a rent escalation clause, and unusually for Mumbai’s high-end rental market, it also does not feature a security deposit.
Registration documents show that ₹9,700 was paid in total towards stamp duty and registration charges, including ₹8,700 as stamp duty and ₹1,000 as registration fees. The transaction was processed via State Bank of India and registered with the Inspector General of Registration office in Mumbai.
Meanwhile, Akshay Kumar has also been actively promoting his upcoming horror-comedy Bhooth Bangla. During a recent promotional event at a mall in Noida, the actor drew a massive crowd, with several videos from the gathering going viral online.
Addressing fans during the event, Akshay expressed surprise at the turnout, saying, “Mujhe kareeban 36 saal ho gaye hain iss industry ke andar, lekin ek mall ke andar maine kabhi itne saare log nahi dekhe.”
The promotional appearance was also shared by producer Ektaa Kapoor, who posted it online with the caption, “If this is the response after the trailer, imagine the madness when #BhoothBangla paid previews begin on 16th April, 9 PM onwards!”
However, the large turnout also led to chaotic moments at the venue. As crowds surged forward, a stampede-like situation developed, with some attendees climbing escalator railings to get a better view. Barricades on the ground floor were breached as fans pushed forward, though Akshay continued interacting with the crowd while maintaining composure.
The buzz around Bhooth Bangla continues to grow following its trailer release. The three-minute preview combines supernatural elements with comedy, placing Akshay Kumar in a mix of eerie and humorous situations. Directed in a signature style associated with filmmaker Priyadarshan, the film aims to balance light-hearted moments with spooky visuals and comic timing.
