A passenger shared a post detailing a disruptive overnight train journey, which led them to say, “The kids were more behaved than she was.” The post has garnered attention online with many users relating to the frustrations of dealing with inconsiderate co-passengers during long-distance travel.
“The type of passengers I face when I am finally having a peaceful journey,” the title of the Reddit post said. The passenger shared that they had finally boarded a relatively peaceful train coach where most travellers were quiet and trying to rest during the night, but it was not for long when a woman, who was travelling with her husband and a kid, ended up disturbing the peaceful journey.
“Lady Kept Complaining”
“This stupid with zero civic sense lady
was a nuisance throughout the trouble, imagine finally finding a train where no kids are shouting, yelling, creating a problem, everyone is quiet peaceful during the night journey and u get the worst the passenger in your coach Only,” the passenger said. “This lady first kept complaining about small things to her husband.”
The passenger shared that her husband and child were occupying an upper berth, while she was sleeping on the side upper. They claimed that she later asked her husband to switch swats despite there being no apparent reason to do so. After the exchange, the woman began watching videos on her phone at high volume while others were trying to sleep.
“Later she finally slept for 3-4 hours and then woke up at 4:30, complaining to her husband,” they said, adding that she complained about the travel arrangements and the air conditioning inside the coach. She later turned on the lights while people were still asleep. “Even her husband asked her to turn off the lights and even we politely asked her. She mumbled and didn’t turn it off,” the passenger shared.
“Matlab aise gawaro ko seat mil jati hai, itni dikkat h to private jet khareed lo aur usse aao. Lekin Paisa nhi h toh attitude bhi uske hisaab se dikhao (I mean such stupid people get seats, if you have so much problem then buy a private jet and use that.
And if you do not have that much money, then show attitude accordingly),” the passenger shared. “When u can’t change something, tf are you whining for. Mind you, the kids were more behaved than she is.”

Since then, nonstop chatter and eating, along with loudspeaker-volume music and bhajans, have been going on. Everyone sleeping, woke up because of this nonsense. When asked to tone down, they literally said, ‘How much will you sleep? It’s time to wake up. The whole world is awake.’”
“Travelling right now, one uncle age maybe above 65, listining songs and reels in full volume .waited for 1 hour and told him to lower volume .his ego got hurt but i asked him in front of TC so he lowered volume after 5 min . I dont know how these kind of people feels ok to disturb other prople . I have seen this kind of behavior mostly from people of gujrat . Uncle is from there too,” another person shared.
“The entitlement these people have is crazy mate. Like playing reel on full volume and not closing the light even when told show that they lack basic empathy and potray highly narcissistic traits. I hope there is a system of complaining against these people and barring them from travel for atleast 6 months,” someone else commented.
