Aryan Khan delivered one of the best and most talked-about series, Ba***ds of Bollywood, on Netflix. The series starred several actors and featured multiple cameos from some of the biggest superstars in the industry, including Aryan Khan’s father and the King of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan. Does working with his father give Aryan any advantage? Recently, choreographer Mudassar Khan, who worked on the songs in the series, talked about how Aryan used to address his father on set.
Talking to the Hindi Rush podcast, he shared, “Our process was like I had made a reference video for how the song would be, and then Aryan and I showed it to Shah Rukh sir in his vanity van. That moment was a great learning experience for me. Because he was sitting in his vanity,
and Aryan and I went inside, Aryan waited all the while as Shah Rukh sir was talking to somebody on the phone. So he waited until he turned his head towards us. And eventually, when he did look at us, Aryan addressed him as ‘sir’ and said, ‘Sir, we have made something for the song. Would you like to see it?’ And he immediately said, ‘Yes, yes,’ and then we showed him what we had done.”
“After he watched, he said, ‘Very good,’ and before he left, he kept his hand on my head. We had also made another pre-visualisation asset so that it could help us on set to shoot effectively and without any delays. So, as he was leaving, I immediately asked Aryan if we should also show him the other video. Then Aryan asked him, saying, ‘Sir, if you have time, can we show you one more video?’ I was stunned to see him say that because if I were in his place, I would have been like, ‘Daddy, see what I have done.’” Mudassar went on to describe Aryan’s professionalism.
