While many details about the film have been kept under wraps, here’s everything we know about You Can See Everything so far.
You Can See Everything – Synopsis
The official synopsis of the film reads, “34 days before she’s sent to prison, notorious Silicon Valley founder Elizabeth Holmes invites a skeptical film crew to document her every move. What begins as an intimate portrait of an enigmatic felon becomes a mind-bending three-year journey
into the abyss. From boundary-pushing directors Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim comes You Can See Everything.”
Who was Holmes? What is the film’s story?
Elizabeth Holmes is an American former entrepreneur who became famous for founding Theranos, a blood-testing startup that claimed it could perform many medical tests using just a few drops of blood.
In 2003, she founded Theranos, inviting global attention, with investors from across the world showing interest, making Holmes one of the world’s youngest female self-made billionaires on paper.
While this looked good, the problem was that Theranos’ technology was not delivering what it promised. It was claimed that the company used other methods for testing, misleading investors, business partners, and patients about the capabilities of its technology.
Holmes was eventually charged with fraud. In 2022, she was convicted of four counts of fraud related to investors. She was sentenced to 11 years and 3 months in prison and began serving her sentence in 2023.
