Re-NEET 2026: NTA Drops Mandatory Bank Verification Step For Admit Card Download

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has revised the process for downloading admit cards for the NEET (UG) 2026 re-examination. Candidates can now access their hall tickets without first completing bank account verification—a requirement that had earlier raised concerns among students.

The announcement comes after several aspirants reported difficulties downloading hall tickets due to the bank detail verification step. Some candidates also raised concerns about confusion over linking refund processing with admit card downloads.

In a post on X on Wednesday, the NTA clarified that students can download their admit cards immediately and complete the mandatory bank account verification for the fee refund process later. Importantly, candidates will remain

eligible for the refund regardless of when they finish this verification.

“If you were unable to download your admit card earlier due to pending bank details, you can now download it right away, complete bank account verification later, and still remain eligible for the examination fee refund process,” the agency stated.

The NTA has urged candidates to download their admit cards at the earliest and carefully review key details such as exam centre, reporting time, and personal information ahead of the June 21 re-examination. Students are also advised to keep two printed copies of the admit card ready for exam day.

“Download your admit card today and keep both printed copies ready for the exam day. Best wishes to all NEET 2026 aspirants,” the NTA added.

The re-examination, scheduled after the cancellation of the May 3 test due to a paper leak, will be held in a single shift from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM, with an additional 15 minutes allotted for administrative formalities.
