Ram Kapoor has addressed the controversy surrounding his interaction with Shreya Kalra, during which he kissed her on the cheek. The actor said the incident was taken out of context and claimed that Shreya had subsequently spoken to him and clarified that she did not intend to suggest anything inappropriate had happened.
Speaking on Nayandeep Rakshit’s podcast, Ram also made it clear that he does not intend to change the way he interacts with people because of reactions to the incident.
Ram Kapoor Breaks Silence On Shreya Kalra Kiss Controversy
Discussing the episode, Ram said he had multiple conversations with Shreya after the controversy. According to him, she personally assured him that there was no issue between them.
“She had many chats with
me where she said that ‘listen I did not mean anything like that and you are totally okay’. I have always been the way I have. I am a very physical person and I’ve always been like that throughout my career. And I’m not going to change, I don’t give a shi* about what gets taken out of context,” he said.
The controversy had erupted after Shreya accused Ram of crossing her personal boundaries when he kissed her on the cheek. Ram, however, has now maintained that subsequent conversations between the two gave him a different understanding of her position.
Ram Kapoor Says No Woman Has Complained About Him In 27 Years
Ram also cited his nearly three-decade career while responding to the criticism. The actor said he takes pride in his professional record and claimed that no woman he has worked with has ever complained about his conduct.
“I’m very happy and proud of the fact that in 27 years of my career in this industry, not a single woman that I have worked with has ever had a complaint. So I don’t care what people say, I’m gonna be what I’m gonna be,” Ram said.
He added that he does not want to spend his time responding to every controversy surrounding him.
“These little things that keep happening, these controversies where things are taken out of context, I’m not going to waste my time on them because life moves too fast. Like I said I’ve so much positivity in my life, I focus on that and these are just unnecessary nonsense and a waste of time,” he added.

Ram also spoke about his disagreements with Shreya during the show. While saying that he had nothing against her personally, the actor felt that she needed to work on how she handled her temper.
“I have nothing against Shreya, I think she’s a lovely girl from a good family. But she is a kid who needs to grow up in terms of controlling her temper and learning how to cool down a bit,” he said.
According to Ram, their differences were not rooted in any personal animosity. He further claimed that Shreya had experienced similar disagreements with other people on the show.
Ram’s latest comments come after the kissing incident became a subject of discussion, with the actor now presenting his account of what transpired between him and Shreya following the controversy.
