Iranian state media on Sunday shared a footage claiming that the country’s air defence system shot down a US MQ-9 drone at east of the Strait of Hormuz. The video, shared by Press TV social media, purportedly shows a drone tracked through a targeting system before an explosion is seen mid-air.
Iran has not shared any detailed information related to the attack. US authorities have also not commented on the claim yet. Check the footage shared by Press TV below.

Iran Claims To Hit American AWACS Aircraft In Saudi Airbase
As
per the reports, an Iranian missile and drones reportedly hit the Prince Sultan Air Base in Saudi Arabia. In this attack, multiple KC-135 tankers, which refuel US aircraft in flight, and an E-3 Sentry airborne warning and control system (AWACS) aircraft were reportedly damaged.
Iran’s Press TV showed the body of the damaged plane.

US Troops Would Be ‘Set On Fire,’ Warns Iran
A top Iranian official warned the US against a ground invasion, saying its troops would be set “on fire,” as regional diplomats met on Sunday in Pakistan, AP reported.
The meeting was held in wake to open direct US-Iran talks and ending the monthlong war.
Iran’s parliament speaker, Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf, said Iranian forces were “waiting for the arrival of American troops on the ground to set them on fire and punish their regional partners forever.”
