Star India and Gujarat Titans pacer Mohammed Siraj celebrated animatedly after he dismissed Rajasthan Royals’ Vaibhav Sooryavanshi for a 16-ball 36, in their game at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Saturday, May 9.
Sooryavanshi once again provided an aggressive start for Rajasthan Royals in a daunting chase of 230, taking on the new-ball attack and putting the Gujarat Titans bowlers under immediate pressure.
The battle between the two started explosively, with Sooryavanshi smashing the very first delivery he faced from Siraj for a six. The former kept up the attacking approach, hammering three more fours off Siraj in the same over in which he was dismissed, while keeping the Gujarat Titans under pressure throughout.
But Siraj hit back on
the fifth delivery of the third over with a sharp short ball that hurried onto Sooryavanshi. Attempting a pull shot, the latter couldn’t time it and edged the ball to Arshad Khan in the deep.
