The 2026 edition of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup will feature a total of 20 teams, and the matches will be played across five venues in India and three in Sri Lanka from February 7 to March 8. World No.
1 T20I team India will start as the favorites for the title, along with Australia, England, South Africa, and New Zealand.
So far in the history of the T20 World Cup, no host nation has ever managed to win an ICC trophy, and also no team has successfully managed to defend their title. Surya’s men will not just have to get the better of opposition teams in front of home fans but will also have to do what no other team in the past managed to.
This year’s T20 World Cup is expected to witness many high-scoring matches, and players will aim to break multiple records (in batting and bowling) to enter their names in the record books.
