Farah Khan Reveals She Has Hiked Dilip's Salary, He Says 'If I Keep Crying, It Will Increase More'

Farah Khan’s cook Dilip needs no introduction. With the filmmaker-choreographer’s YouTube vlogs and cooking videos, Dilip has become a household name and enjoys good popularity now. A running gag on the channel

is that Dilip is always asking Farah to increase his salary. Now, he has revealed that Farah has finally given him a pay hike. He made this revelation in their latest vlog.

Dilip said, “Hi guys, welcome to our channel. Humara show bahut achcha chal raha hai. Ma’am ne humara pagaar bhi badha diya hai. Hum bahut khush hain. Ma’am ko aap log batana nahi, kyunki main bahut khush hoon. Main aur bhi rounga toh aur bhi pagaar badhega (Hi guys, welcome to our channel. Our show is doing very well. Ma’am has increased my salary, too. We are very happy. You guys don’t tell Ma’am, because I am very happy, and if I keep crying, my salary will increase even more).”

When Farah entered, Dilip pretended to be sad. She asked, “Dilip, what happened to you? Why are you crying?” Dilip replied, “Ma’am, hike my salary.” Farah Khan said, “Oh, I just increased your salary! Leave it. This man’s [salary] never increases; this man is never happy.”

Dilip’s salary has long been a talking point in the vlogs. In a video with Ashneer Grover, Ashneer’s mother revealed a lesser-known fact about Dilip: “Dilip told us he first came to Delhi for a job that paid just Rs 300.” Farah quickly added her own punchline: “And when he joined me, his salary was Rs 20,000. Don’t ask me what he earns now!”

Given the popularity of Farah Khan’s vlogs, Dilip has managed to send his kids to English-medium schools and even get a massive house constructed in Bihar. Dilip took viewers on a home tour in one of the vlogs. He showed his room, his pooja room, his children’s room, and the terrace.

He also revealed that since the work is still unfinished, he has temporarily put cloth on the windows to block the light and the wind. Dilip then joked that he even needs to get a swimming pool constructed in his house. “Please subscribe, because I still need to make a swimming pool,” he joked.
