Jul 25 (PTI) A 28-year-old man went missing while swimming in a dam located in Digha area along the Thane-Belapur Road, officials said on Sunday.
The victim has been identified as Ankush Gaud.
After being alerted by a policeman, rescue personnel deployed rafts into the water and conducted an extensive search operation on Saturday, but could not trace the victim.
“As darkness hindered the search operations, the rescue efforts were temporarily suspended. The family members and the police present at the spot were informed that the search operation would resume early morning,” an official said. PTI COR NSK
