Dhanbad’s often busy railway station was host to absolute chaos on the evening of Monday, November 17, when a reportedly drunk man climbed up the roof of a train standing at platform number 2. This intoxicated
youngster completely lost his mind and began threatening the authorities to touch the high-voltage wires above the train.
The incident captured in a video left everyone stunned. The young man with torn off clothes, climbing and rushing through the top of the train barefoot, drew the immediate attention of the passengers nearby. He was later noticed by the railway staff, who took the necessary action and made sure a major accident was avoided.
Alleged Drunkard On Dhanbad Train
According to the railway officials in Dhanbad, the man appeared to be heavily influenced by alcohol when he curiously reached the train’s rooftop and paced across. Passengers nearby had their eyebrows raised as this brash youngster even gestured towards the live electric wires, the contact with which could be fatal immediately.

As per a report by DD News Jharkhand, the train authorities quickly halted the operations on the main line and cut the power connection upon seeing the youngster threatening to touch and disrupt the wires. Once the possibility of a fatal event was eliminated, the staff went into the rescue act that unravelled the most bizarre scenes.
Drunkard’s Erratic Behaviour During Rescue
During the rescue operation carried out by the Dhanbad station’s security personnel and RPF officers, they encountered the most erratic behaviour from this local man. The youngster, who had picked out his shoes in his hands, threatened to hit the officers trying to climb up the rooftop and pull him back.
The staff’s careful coordination and efforts in the incident only led to more frustration for them when this allegedly intoxicated youth also started beating a stair that they were trying to deploy.
In a smart move, one of the security staff members came from the other side of the rooftop quietly and ultimately forced the youngster off the train. The individual was reportedly taken into detention by the railway police authorities, with an investigation launched into the event.
