Tis the festive season and travel activity has surged as families plan reunions and holiday getaways. And jumping on this festive spirit, Navi Mumbai International Airport (NMIA) is set to begin commercial flight operations from Thursday, December 25.
Recently, NMIA has shared a series of route-guidance videos so that passengers can reach the airport without any last-minute stress. These videos explain how people can access the airport from different parts of Mumbai.
Coming From South Mumbai
If you are travelling from areas like Colaba, Nariman Point, Mantralaya or Gateway of India, you can begin your journey via Captain Prakash Pethe Marg or Shahid Bhagat Singh Road. From here, continue towards P D’Mello Road and join the Eastern Express Highway.
Travellers coming from Parel, Worli or Mahalaxmi can take Acharya Dhonde Marg, Dr E. Moses Road, or Keshavrao Khadye Marg to connect with the Eastern Express Highway. Once on the highway, proceed towards Atal Setu.
After crossing Thane Creek via Atal Setu, take the last left exit at Chirle onto NH-48. Stick to the left lanes, continue towards Gavhaan Phata Interchange and enter Amra Marg. Staying on the left lanes of Amra Marg will lead you directly to the Western Main Entrance of NMIA from where the airport road takes you straight to Terminal 1.
For early morning or late-night flights, passengers can also take the Ulve exit on Atal Setu, drive towards Jio Institute and then turn right to join Amra Marg to reach the airport.

Travelling From Western Suburbs
Passengers coming from Bandra, BKC, Vile Parle, Andheri, Malad or Borivali can take the Western Express Highway and then use the Santacruz–Chembur Link Road (SCLR).
Those travelling from Powai can take JVLR, followed by the Eastern Express Highway and then proceed towards Jizabai Bhosle Marg at Mankhurd. From here, continue straight to the Sion–Panvel Highway and take a left towards Vashi Bridge.
After crossing Vashi, take the Palm Beach Road ramp and continue straight until you reach NMMC Junction. From there, take a right turn onto Amra Marg, cross Panvel Creek and you will reach the Western Main Entrance of NMIA which leads directly to Terminal 1.
Passengers from Bandra and Worli can also reach Atal Setu via Lady Jamshedji Road, Tilak Road in Dadar and Nadkarni Marg in Wadalabefore proceeding towards Chirle or Ulve exits.

Routes From Central Mumbai
Travellers coming from Dadar, Sion or Chembur can use the Eastern Express Highway to begin their journey.
Those starting from Sion can take R A Kidwai Marg and V N Purav Marg via Chembur to reach the Eastern Freeway which connects to Atal Setu. After crossing Thane Creek, take the left exit onto NH-348, stay on the left lanes and continue towards Gavhaan Phata Interchange.
From here, move onto Amra Marg and stay left until you reach the western main entrance of NMIA. The airport ramp on the left will take you directly to Terminal 1.
Passengers from Chembur also have the option of using the Sion–Panvel Highway then switching to Palm Beach Road after Vashi Toll Naka and then turning right at NMMC Junction to reach Amra Marg and the airport entrance.

From Thane, Airoli And Ghansoli
Passengers travelling from Thane can use local connecting roads to reach Thane–Belapur Road. Those coming from Airoli or Ghansoli can join the Thane–Belapur stretch and continue towards the Sion–Panvel Highway.
From here, take the turn near Ghansoli and proceed towards Amra Marg using the NMMC Junction flyover. Staying in the left lanes will bring you to the Western Main Entrance of Navi Mumbai International Airport with a direct ramp leading to Terminal 1.
