Mirzapur: The Movie To Hit Big Screens On September 4, Promises A Larger-Than-Life Experience

Amazon MGM Studios and Excel Entertainment present the first-ever cinematic adaptation of India’s biggest, fan favourite franchises – Mirzapur. The film unveils an untold chapter from the iconic Mirzapur universe, the film is produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar and co-produced by Kassim Jagmagia and Vishal Ramchandani under the banner of Excel Entertainment and directed by Gurmmeet Singh.

One of India’s most iconic OTT franchise makes its long-awaited leap to cinemas. The makers today announced September 4 as the theatrical release date of Mirzapur: The Movie, promising audiences a larger-than-life cinematic experience rooted in the gritty world they love. The film brings back iconic characters of Mirzapur — Kaleen Bhaiya (Pankaj Tripathi),

Guddu Pandit (Ali Fazal), and marks the much-anticipated comeback of Munna Bhaiya (Divyenndu), one of the franchise’s most loved characters. Now, for the first time ever, the cult saga of Mirzapur steps into cinemas, transforming its beloved world into an epic big-screen experience.

Recently, Ali Fazal gave fans their first look into the making of Mirzapur: The Film as the much-anticipated project officially wraps up its final schedule this past weekend. The actor took to social media to share behind-the-scenes glimpses from the sets, offering an engaging insight into the process behind bringing the gritty world of Mirzapur and the iconic character of Guddu Bhaiya to the big screen.

Sharing his thoughts, Ali wrote in his caption, “YEH SILSILA lamba hai. Its just a journey of some Love and some Hate. Mirzapur The Film wraps its final schedule. Nani ki aawaaz mein Badayuni sa’ab ka ek sher haath lag gaya.. yahaan uska hona laazim hai…” Reflecting on the team effort behind the film, he added, “Here’s just my love for the main man behind us.. pushing us to perfection DIRECTOR SAAB – Gurupa.. @gurmmeetsingh aur unke saathi in crime #PuneetKrishna for creating the many worlds and Baba @kapoorbaba who has relentlessly shot this masterpiece without compromising despite all the necessary hurdles… but through all of it we brought our A game when the camera rolled up on us.”
