New Delhi July 22 (PTI) IT services company HCLTech on Wednesday said that it has been selected by Brazilian telecommunications company TIM Brasil to enable South America’s first cross-platform eSIM transfer capability.
The digital innovation will enhance mobile telephony experience for millions of users across Brazil by giving them greater flexibility in how they use and switch devices and accelerating the adoption of next-generation mobile services across the region, according to a release.
Leveraging HCLTech’s Device Entitlement Gateway (DEG), TIM Brasil customers can transfer their eSIM profiles “securely and seamlessly” across devices and operating systems be it switching from one smartphone brand to another or upgrading to a new device.
The release, however, did not divulge the size of the contract. PTI MBI MBI MR
